Wedding Cakes
When a client is considering using us for a wedding cake, we initially speak to them to find out what type of cake they are thinking of, perhaps they would like to reflect the colours of their bouquet or have a fruit and flower extravaganza: the client below wanted the colours to be silver and electric blue to reflect the colours in her dress and shoes. We met, as we always do with our prospective wedding clients, and gave them a box of cupcakes with their individual design in mind, which they took away with them: they then came back to me with a clearer idea of what they needed, together with a request for some special diet cakes, which we are always delighted to accommodate!

On the big day, we arrived at the venue in plenty of time, and put up the cake on one of our stunning Perspex cake stands: you can see from the testimonial below the reaction….

Hello Debbie!!

Our wedding day was fantastic and your fab cupcakes topped it off beautifully. They went down a storm and we had to hide a few away so that we could have some ourselves!

All the flavours were lovely and our personal favourites, the red velvet cupcakes, are definitely the best we've tasted.

Also, thank you so much for providing the diabetic cupcakes - they were the first ones to disappear - I don't think our diabetic guests were expecting to be able to have cake too!

50th Birthday Party

Our client approached us and asked us to prepare a menu for his 50th birthday party, for 50 people, of simple party food for a reasonable price to be served at the Iron Duke Hotel on a Saturday night. He only wanted fish and vegetarian items and was quite specific with his requirements. We were able to come up with a menu which exactly reflected his requests, and even though (due to a late running band) the food was held back for 45 minutes, everyone was delighted as the testimonial below shows:

The food was absolutely superb on Saturday evening and my guests and I really enjoyed it.  Parties always go a lot better when people are enjoying the food and I think I can safely say that it was the best party food I've had.

I had a few people drop out at the last minute which meant we didn't get through everything you prepared for us.  Please don't be offended as it was certainly no reflecton on the quality of the food.

I'll certainly recommend you (I've kept you card) if anyone asks

Launch Party at Hotel Pelirocco
The famous Hotel Pelirocco in Regency Square Brighton has wonderful themed rooms, and Debbie was asked to create something special for the launch party to celebrate the opening of a new one, the decadent Ophelia Fancy room.

Ophelia Fancy are a very chic and saucy Brighton based underwear and burlesque wear label, so Debbie met with them at their studio at New England House to get a feel for their style.

They all agreed that they wanted something a bit more special than a regular canapé party, so Debbie came up with the idea of a tiny afternoon tea, as well as larger cupcakes in cream white and black, on a stand in the new room to match the décor and to add to the decadence.

On the night Debbie made sure everything went smoothly, even wearing an Ophelia Fancy kimono to serve the canapés in!
